WEEK 16

JEKYLL AND Mr HYDE
by D.X.Pert

The Mishawaka Maniacs own the best record in the league since May 23: 8-1. Their only loss was by just 5 points, whereas most of their wins have been no doubters. How do they do it? Their pitchers have been pretty effective but they don't eat many innings. The main cause for their success is hitting for average. During these streak, they are hitting .304 as a team. Pujols has a .350 average and Michael Young is hitting .374.
And the streak stops at 11 losses once again for the Cubs. However, it isn't like they earned the win, they just happened to run into the Tree Frogs (a.k.a. the Cubs of the American Division). By the way, it is now official, the Frogs won't make the playoffs this year.

This week marked the end of interdivisional play. In 2004, the American Division won 22-14. We could say the trend continues, because this season the American Division won 21-15. It isn't a huge difference but it definitely means something.
