WEEK 11

DON'T WRITE THEM OFF by D.X.Pert

The Kitchener Howlers won the World Series last season. This year, they started 3-5 but you could see they deserved a better record, after all, they were scoring lots of points. Now, after three straight wins, they are just one game away from the top spot in the division and they are the top scoring team in the league. How are they doing it? Small ball. Lots of at bats, walks and speed. And they have good arms in the bullpen. If they manage to make the playoffs, they'll be a dangerous team.
Monkeys, Tree Frogs and Cubs. What can I say about them? This time I'll choose encouraging words. Don't start thinking about next year yet. You're only 2 or 3 games away from a playoff spot and there's still a lot of baseball to be played. Make some deals, shake your rosters and make a run. It isn't too late.
Are the Black Sox and Walkers for real? They have good records but don't score many points. I like the Sox better, they have a nice offense and are getting better after a slow start. On the other hand, the Walkers don't look legit. Since week 7 they've been one of the worst teams in the league. Besides, they have poor pitching and a poor offense.
