WEEK 8

A PATTERN OF FAILURE by D.X.Pert

This can't be a coincidence. The Belfast Cubs lost the first eleven games in franchise history, later in 2004 they had a 5-game losing streak. This season, after an unbelievably lucky 3-1 start, they've lost their last 4 games. They are dead last in points scored and their only solid players are Jeter, Sheffield and Mulder. Management needs to do something about this.

Third straight victory for the Black Sox and first win ever over the Monkeys in a very close game. Can they keep this up? I'm not so sure. Their roster doesn't look that great and they are next to last in points scored in their division.
The Savage Fury are for real and beat the Terriers to prove their dominance. 5 wins in the last 6 weeks, an A-Rod who's making a run for the MVP award and a nice pitching staff. I like their chances.
Finally some separation in the International Division! The top-3 teams won their matchups. But I don't think this is going to be permanent. After all, the Howlers are the top scoring team despite their 3-5 record. They could use some luck.

Lately in the week we had a blockbuster deal. The Terriers moved injured ace Mark Prior to the Mad Turtles in exchange for Randy Johnson. A typical trade between a contender and a team already looking towards next year.
