WEEK 7

IT'S A MARATHON by D.X.Pert

And that's why you need to be consistent to have a successful season. Just ask Roy Halladay and his Savage Fury, they sit on top of the standings because 1) they are the top scoring team in their division, and 2) they are the only team that ALWAYS scores 320+ points.

Sometimes you need some luck too. The Maniacs and the Howlers both have losing records despite having scored 300+ points every week.

After a lucky start, the Belfast Cubs are right where they belong: last place. They haven't been able to take advantage of the fact that teams seem to forget how to score against them. However, they could very well be in first place in two weeks; you never know what's gonna happen in that division.

The American Division is a little bit more predictable this year. The Fury and the Terriers are the front runners and we should have a very nice run until the very end.

And since we're talking front runners, who are the front runners for the MVP and Cy Young awards?

Nobody saw this coming, but Brian Roberts would win the MVP in landslide right now because Abreu is playing for a losing team. And Brett Myers would take the Cy Young after leading the Terriers to a 5-2 record.

Fortunately, there's still a lot of baseball to be played.
