WEEK 5

LOOKING GOOD by D.X.Pert

The Beachwood Terriers are the class of the league right now. First in total scoring, home runs, RBI, pitching points, ERA, and innings pitched. They have a 4-1 record and their only loss was by 5 points. This early success doesn't seem to be a flash in the pan because the have superstars galore: Beltran, Tejada, Teixeira, Blalock and Prior. Sheets should be back soon and the D-Train is pitching lights out. They are a balanced team with the star power to go deep in the postseason.

Darik Buchar is already bragging about the recent trade through which he got Justin Morneau in exchange for David Ortiz. As he was quick to point out, his Walkers beat the Delivery Boys (Morneau's former team) by 4 points, which happened to be the difference between Morneau and Ortiz this past week. Amazing.

The champions aren't going down without a fight. They beat the overachieving (or should I say lucky?) Cubs for the fourth straight time and are the top scoring team in the International division.

Congrats to the Maniacs on their first win ever over the Black Sox. Now, on second thought, it isn't much of an accomplishment to beat a team that sports a 5.38 ERA.

So far, the American division has proved to be much stronger than the International division. The average American team scores 332.2 a game, whereas the average international team scores 322.2. We'll see if this trend holds up in the future.
