A STEADY PACE WINS THE RACE by D.X.Pert

 

There's been much talk about lady luck lately. People tend to look at the standings and think that having one of the top scoring teams means they have a good team. Well, they happen to be wrong. Good teams are those who score a decent amount of points every single week, even if they don't have any of those monster weeks. Did you know that there are only 2 teams that have scored 300+ points every single week? One of them is (surprise, surprise) the 5-0 Kitchener Howlers. The other? The 1-4 Drunken Monkeys. Now THIS is a truly cursed team, because they've been consistently good but always seem to face the team that is having that monster week.
We had another week of thrillers! Plenty of close games. The competition level has been amazingly high. Any given week the only sure bets are the Howlers are gonna win, and the Cubs are gonna lose. The rest of the teams are beating each other out.
Terriers are in command in their division with a balanced team that has the highest batting average (.312) and the lowest ERA (3.04).
Good to see the Cubs' manager realizing they have to shake things up.
