WEEK 16

 POSTSEASON BOUND MANIACSby D.X.Pert

Huge win for the Maniacs. It would take an amazing collape of epic proportions to make them miss the postseason. A big week from Jason Schmidt with 17 K's in 15 innings, Estrada and Nevin hitting .500 put them on top of the incredibly balanced American division.
How balanced you ask? So balanced that the last place Drunken Monkeys are only one game out of third place and a playoff berth. However, if the Monkeys want to stay in the fight, they should stop benching reliable guys like Carlos Zambrano and Livan Hernandez.

Oh by the way, the Howlers clinched a playoff spot but I'll keep writing about the American Division, because the International Division is a bore.
The Sluggers stay in the hunt because Ichiro hit .500, Aramis belted four homers and Gagne is awesome. Still, their game against the Cubs was too close.
Terriers and Black Sox lost but are still very much alive, like everybody else in this division.

There's no doubt this will go down to the wire. Fortunately.
