THINGS OVER OUTSIDE AMERICA by D.X.Pert


With six week to go we can already say that the regular season is over for the teams in the International Division. The Howlers, Thugs and Mad Turtles will make the playoffs and the rest will watch them on TV. It's a shame we won't have drama in this race but these three teams have been much better than the rest and deserve to move on to the postseason. But why?

Well, the Howlers had an unbelievable start with amazing seasons from unexpected sources like the unretired Roger Clemens, Hideki Matsui, Melvin Mora or Sean Casey. They haven't been doing bery good lately but they still have time to recover for the playoffs.

The Thugs made it with innings, innings and more innings. And the home runs hit by Beltran, Lee and Dunn didn't hurt.

The Mad Turtles live and die by their pitching staff. When their batters have a decent week they have a good chance of winning any game. If during the playoffs they get a week in which 3 or 4 of their starters have two starts, they will be really really tough to beat.

Oh by the way, the American Division just swept the International Division this past week and have a 20-10 advantage in interdivision play.
