AMERICAN SUPREMACY by D.X.Pert


They are the most powerful country in the world and, after all, it is THEIR national pasttime. We still have five more weeks of interdivisional games, but after the first games we can see that, so far, Americans rule.

The only team that managed to get a win for the international division was the Toronto Thugs. And, all of a sudden, they look much stronger than the division leaders, the Howlers. Have you seen the Thugs' lineup? Now that Nomar is back, it has no holes. They still lack an ace though.

And what can we say about those Cubs? I guess their manager reads Baseball Weekly because he reacted quickly and made a couple of trades. Not that he improved his team much but Troy Glaus could be a good keeper for next season and Pavano is having a nice season.

The hot team right now is the Mishawaka Maniacs. They've won four straight lead by two Giants, Jason Schmidt and Barry Bonds, and two kids, Miguel Cabrera and Scott Podsednik.

And I'll end this column with one question. Could anybody explain to me how come the Mad Turtles have the most home runs per at bat despite having picked five pitchers in the first five rounds of the draft?
